PETAR AS PRODUCER AND EDUCATOR
Working as a producer for the past 10 years Petar has been involved in a series of significant projects, ranging from the independent theater scene to more commercial endeavors, with a focus on educational projects as an important aspect of his work. Almost all of the projects he signs as a producer and has realized as a producer and/or author have been supported and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the Offices for Culture of the cities of Zagreb and Rijeka, as well as the Zagreb Tourist Board.
Some of his notable projects include the monoplay "Mala Čuda" (Little Miracles), which made history by winning the most prestigious theater award in this region, the Marulić Days, where it received the main prize for the best overall performance, competing with all major theater houses from the former Yugoslav region in 2022. Another project is the Pop Up Drama Zagreb, an innovative project that creates unique postcards of the city of Zagreb through performances at three locations in the city center, documented through photos and videos, along with scenographic installations left for citizens and passersby to reinterpret their own stories. Additionally, there is the project "Šumastikus," a play that has been performed over 40 times in Croatia with several international tours, recognized and praised as one of the best projects within the "Ruksak pun kulture" (Backpack Full of Culture) project of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia.
As a moderator and drama pedagogue, Petar has honed his skills by working as an assistant at the Academy of Dramatic Arts Zagreb and leading workshops for a diverse range of age groups, from preschool children to late teenagers, through the programs of "Ruksak Pun Kulture," which brings culture to less developed areas of Croatia. He has also conducted a series of workshop programs with numerous leading art institutions in Croatia such as Tala Dance Ceter and Poco Loco theatre, involving interactive staged readings and workshops. Additionally, he is a co-author of the "Vježbenica za pokret i ples" (Workbook for Movement and Dance): a manual for preschool institutions, a publication that emerged from a two-year collaboration and a series of workshops with preschool and primary school educators, as well as children themselves.
